Adriano Finds a New Home
O Imperador has signed with Flamengo according to numerous media reports. Adriano had gone on record stating he wanted to return to the club he started his career with and it appears this is a reality now. This is an opportunity for Adriano to re-establish himself as a recognizable forward. He had great success during a loan spell at Sao Paulo, and hopefully he can get his life together on and off the pitch back in Rio. Flamengo is coming off winning another Rio state championship and will be bolstered by his arrival. In terms of his national team chances its completely too early to determine whether he will be called for the next qualifiers and the Confederations Cup. With Fred, Adriano, Ronaldo, Keirrison, and Nilmar all playing in the Brazilian Championship this season it should be a season full of goals.
