Barça in Final

Barça 0 x 0 Milan How about that? The game was really breathtaking but the players seemed fairly tired to the end. We could see some great moves and passes but no goals were scored. Both teams had great chances but fail to score.

Now Barça will play the Champions League final against Arsenal in Paris (May, 17) as I was hoping. I have already been told (thanks Tim) that Arsenal isn’t such a defensive team, as we saw yesterday, so I expect Ronaldinho will be able to play a little more than today. He was Carlo Ancelotti’s main concern and he surely was under great pressure, but as the UEFA site wrote: “In between times, Ronaldinho showed further flashes of brilliance.”

What Happened? Kaka was the big disappointment of the game. I don’t know what happened there, but he didn’t play half of what we know he can. At the same time Dida was a monster defending point blank shots and headers. Maybe his bad phase is over.

For a team that could tie, Barça demonstrated an impressive attacking force. If you take a closer look to the statistics, you can see that Barcelona shot more than Milan, who needed the most.

Shots on goal: Barça 8, Milan 1

Shots wide: Barça 4, Milan 8

Party!

My hope of seeing Kaka in action never came true huh?…The first 20 minutes were super and I thought after Kaka took that first shot 20 seconds in that he would have a good game….but he seemed to dissapear afterwards. Oh well.

The Larsson header I thought was surely in…what a save. Is Dida the starting goalie at NT?

As far as I know, Parreira likes Dida very much and he will be the starter.

I had the same impression as you when Kaka shoot right at the beginning of the game, but he faded.
