Bolivia 2 – 1 Brazil

That sucked. The team was very uninspired this afternoon. Josue and Miranda have no business being on the national team…none. Bolivia definitely deserved the points. I’ll have the full recap either tonight or tomorrow afternoon, no one is getting more than a 6.5 rating.

Better to play badly and lose then to play badly and lose a match badly in the world cup. No team keeps on winning before the world cup and goes on to win the world cup

I’m agreeing with Gordon here.

Yes, it sucked but I can’t even imagine playing a futebol match at the top of Vail Mountain. Azteca’s a little nuts. La Paz is insane. Talk about a home mountain advantage.

They were uninspired. But I’m chalking it up to altitude, lack of motivation after already clinching and not having 7 starters in the lineup.

It sucks to lose the winning and unbeaten streaks. But it’s a good wake-up call – a bracing slap in the face.

After their recent run, now they know just because they put on the yellow shirts doesn’t mean they’re going to win.

well they say history always repeat itself i hope in this case history will, we lost against Bolivia in a world cup qualifier game in 1993 we won the world cup in 1994 in 2001 again we lost against Bolivia we won in 2002 the fact that we lost yesterday might be good news…besides Dunga needs 11 strong players on the bench people like Josue,Miranda,Lucas Leiva,A Santos,Diego Souza,Diego Tardelli these guys are just regular players why playing A. Santos when we have Adriano(Sevilla) i know Denilson(Arsenal) is injured but why having Josue ahead of him? even Adriano hasn’t done anything for the selecao lately he’s nothing but another Ronaldinho(people who God grace with exceptional talent but decided to waste it) he shouldn’t be in the selecao when we have people like Grafite and Hulk who are begging for a chance to prove themselves this is nonsense i agree with Dunga keeping Luis Fabiano and Kaka on the bench but if you flew them from europe you must bring them with you for a reason, right? i think we’re gonna be in big trouble if one of your major players get injured the likes of Kaka,Luis Fabiano,Julio Cesar the right back position is the only spot we have two world class players after that thanks to Dunga anything can happen,Diego(Juventus) is having a nice time just give the guy another chance if it was 11 new players on the field the game could’ve been different cause these guys would have gone on the field with one thing on their mind try to steal somebody’s spot for South Africa 2010 anyway congrats to Bolivia and their fans they deserve it ….

Patchet 5, Please learn to use periods and commas…

Not really surprised at the loss. Most of the best players were gone, and even the regulars that remained (Maicon, Dani Alves, Luisao, Elano) would have a hard time motivating themselves. On the other side, you have Bolivia, a side that already beat Argentina and Paraguay, playing in front of their home crowd and wanting to preserve some self-respect after not qualifying. Even the greatest teams will often lose matches like that.

Nilmar continues to show goal-scoring ability. Should see significant time in South Africa, even if he doesn’t start.

Thanks for the comments. This match wasn’t a big deal. I am pissed about some performances? Sure (Adriano). But for the Brazil B side to lose in La Paz isn’t shocking. I mean the Argentina A side lost 6-1 there!
