Congratulations to Lyon!
It’s hard to believe that a team can win the national championship 5 times in a row. So, congratulations to Olympique Lyonnais! I’m happy for the Brazilians that took part in this campaign, naturally. Juninho and Caçapa are the veterans among the Brazilians while Cris and Fred were hired later.

Lyon played against Paris Saint Germain already as champions but the players were very motivated anyway. They won in Paris with one very Brazilian goal, with Juninho shooting a corner with precision to Fred’s head. Unfortunately I only discovered that the French Premier League was on Brazilian TV too late, but I know that these guys are very well regarded by their fans. No wonder! Fred is the best scorer and Juninho the best assistant of the team.
If there is still room for changes in Parreira’s mind, I think that’s the way to go.
Read about their win over PSG here.
Curiosity: do you know what does Pernambucano and Caçapa means?
Pernambucano is someone that comes from Pernambuco, a state in the northeast region of Brazil. He was born in the capital Recife. Same thing as in Ronaldinho’s name Gaúcho, his origin was added to his name to avoid confusion with another player called Juninho (Middlesbrough, Palmeiras).

Caçapa is Claudio Roberto da Silva’s nickname. Here in Brazil caçapa is a netted pocket of a billiard table.

The Portuguese guy? Is he in Scolari’s team?

I say he’s got big chances to go as Maniche’s substitute. I mean, I’m almost 100% positve he’s going.
