Dunga Announces Ecuador and Peru Squads

Here is the squad:

Julio Cesar – Internazionale
Doni – Roma

Maicon – Internazionale
Daniel Alves – Barcelona
Lúcio – Bayern de Munique
Miranda – São Paulo
Thiago Silva – Milan
Luisão – Benfica
Marcelo – Real Madrid
Kleber – Internacional

Gilberto Silva – Panathinaikos
Josué – Wolfsburg
Anderson – Manchester United
Felipe Melo – Fiorentina
Elano – Manchester City
Júlio Baptista – Roma
Kaká – Milan

Ronaldinho – Milan
Robinho – Manchester City
Alexandre Pato – Milan
Luís Fabiano – Sevilla
Adriano – Internazionale

There are only a few real surprises here. Kaka has not played for Milan in about a month but still got the call. São Paulo’s central defender Miranda was a bit of a surprise as well, especially with Chelsea’s Alex being in great form at the moment. Juan is not fully fit and had to come off early yesterday in Roma’s Champions League match so hence the reason he was likely omitted. Amauri was not called as well and at this point in the saga who knows what will happen with him. He has been off form recently and did not play against Chelsea on Tuesday due to injury. Finally, lets hope Dunga has come to his senses and will continue to start Marcelo.

Good Squad from Dunga, some major hicups in the midfield selections and at the back but overall very satisfactory im Thiago Silva, Maicon and Marcelo mmust be installed in the game from the start because this team needs to implement some speed in these Qualifier games and need to test out the youth to prepare themselves for 2010. Kaka, Melo, Ronaldinho and Elano should form the midfield diamond with Robinho or Fabiano up front with Alexandre.

I don’t know if Thiago Silva should be given much time unless the team has a comfortable lead. I mean he hasn’t play in a real game in quite some time. I would have personally liked to see Gilberto Silva, Josue, and possibly Anderson left off in favor of Hernanes, Denilson, and Diego. What a dilemma Anderson is…you want to him develop for 2010 but this season for him has been stunning.

stunning in a negative way i presume, as for Thiago Silva i think he can play. he’s been training regularly at Milanello and has proven to be a first class and very sturdy defender in his appearances during Milan’s many friendlies.

I think the best solution for Brazil is that Dung kicked immediately. He is very bad coach .. He is not ready to become a coach as Brazil need them. Go out Dung now.
