Maradona and Matthäus in Rio’s Carnival
It was very amusing to see the two football heroes enjoying the Brazilian carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Both footballers were at a very famous beer company’s cabin (private chambers). The Brahma beer brought a huge amount of famous VIPs to its quarters and their marketing squad was smiling as if Brazil won the World Cup for the sixth time already.
Maradona was as crazy as I get during our carnival, trying to get female attention at all cost at all times. He was having the time of his life! One anonymous man tried to reach him but the security staff blocked him, but Diego called him back and grabbed his hand. The poor man kissed Maradona’s hand and the football superstar pulled the guy’s hand back and kissed it too. As time goes by I believe that Diego is showing that he is a real man, the opposite of what some Argentineans think he is. Armando also said that Messi can be the next Maradona, so he clearly doesn’t think about himself as a divine force. His words about this matter were very enlightening: “There is only one God”. Can this message be any clearer? Maradona showed the world his talent and we are happy to have him as a guest in our country. And he seems to like Brazil too when he says “Brazil treats me very well always and that’s why I respect Brazilians so much and I hope the best for them in the future”.
Herr Lothar was with his wife, so… ball and chains for him!!! Even so he said to the TV reporter (when his wife wasn’t near, of course) that the Brazilian girls were driving him crazy. His smile was falling apart when he asked “Don’t let my wife hear this”… too late! Globo TV showed his face turning red live in national broadcast as he said that.
Bono Vox (very nice guy) and Puff Daddy (a regular jerk) were also enjoying our party too so, if you can come next year, you’re welcomed! Have a good time!
Unfortunately I didn’t find many sites with these stories, so I decided to keep my camera ready at all times from now on, so that in the future I don’t depend of websites to find images to illustrate this kind of funny issues. No links in english, sorry folks!
