Matthäus quits Brazil

Real Baby The German superstar was hired to coach the Brazilian team from Paraná, Atlético Paranaense, but he didn’t last in the job. The sad part of it is that he didn’t tell the board that he was leaving. How unprofessional is that? Wow!

We hear all the time how the Germans are strict to rules and order in general - I know because I studied for a while in a German school here in Rio - but he didn’t care to say anything to the team, just left. Can you imagine a team going to train and nobody is there to command??? The board was probably hoping he would show up eventually, but he was still at home, in Germany. The team found out he would not come back reading the German “Bild” newspaper. How childish is that?

Before giving up the team he was suspended to attend the games for 30 days after attacking a linesman. For what I’ve read, he was right to be upset since one of the players was injured and the linesman didn’t allow a substitution, probably because there were only a couple of minutes left on the game. The linesman denied his request twice, so… I would be angry too.

Not a real man, sorry But all this don’t excuse Herr Lothar to do what he did. He claims that he underestimated the distance factor to his family. He could not bear the absence of his wife and children. Baby talk version: Ooo, poo Lowta M’teo mis his fem-lay? Ooo, doo-doo, boo-boo, goo-goo, kah-kaaah.

He was doing a great job, by the way. Let’s not be unfair here. But his departure makes him look like a spoiled brat to us.

The soap opera version of his return to his wife’s arms is that she got crazy after rumors of him having an affair with a hot Brazilian woman. To be honest, I believe this version more than the “missy family” one. His actions prove he can be passionate and spontaneous like Latin people, right?

Hey Matt, if you read this, stay strong! Don’t admit anything!!!

Euler discussing a matter totally different form this post.
Do you much about Corinthians financial backers, i figured you would know quite a bit about the brazilian league.
Apparently roman abramovich provides them with funds so that they can purchase the best talent in South America and then develop, only for chelsea to come along and buy them cheaply and to avoid fighting other clubs for their signatures.

Due to Chelsea chasing Tevez and Mascherano their are rumours that they are already practically owned by chelski.

I’m not sure if I understood what you meant, but that’s the way Brazilian’s players life goes on. Ronaldinho was diagnosed “Genious” and they gamble his contract. They pay little money in players that can be really bad players… sometimes they get lucky and compensates all other bad choices.

For each Ronaldinho, they buy 10 to 20 other young players that have no future.

You think Brazilian agents are dumm? Think again. Maybe they are too smart for European contracters.
