I’ve seen the Carlos Alberto’s goal many times and it is absolutely impressive, but at this post I was trying to write about my feelings at the time so, since I wasn’t born in 1970 that amazing goal was not related in my text. The Pele’s assistence was extremely cool!

Hey Rescorpione!!! Too bad (for me, of course) I wasn’t able to enjoy the 1978 World Cup, so I’m not aware of that goal. At the other hand, I’m glad I didn’t watch that sad episode of the World Cup history.

good friend Euler ! you said a while ago you would do this for your team and am willing to contribute just for brasil goals…just i don’t have five but 3 which i also rate amongst the top 10 of any world cup i witnessed since 1970.
#1 maybe the best team goal ever the last one from CARLOS ALBERTO in 1970 final Vs italy with only 4 mins left Brasil were able to relax and toy with opponents in an almost cruel manner …30 seconds of possession 9 passes 6 players (CLODOALDO,GERSON,TOSTAO,JAIRZINHO,PELE CARLOS..).AT LAST Pele rolled the ball his right without even looking and RUNNIG Carlos Alberto smashed in to the net from the corner of 16 meters area…..simply divine ..please note that by then an italian boy (me) jumped ecstatic!

#2 Brasil Ussr 1982 with the game 1-1 and the game on the last minute Socrates having already scored a magnificent one had the ball on the right wing russians feared another shot instead he strolled the ball over leaving the incoming EDER unleash a Baazoka past the skipper..BOMBASTIC and classy !

#3 another vs italy
in 1978
being marroned in the corner of the pitch most players wouldn’t have had the guts to attempt to score past Dino Zoff from there but NELINHO could produce such a banana shot.. he bent the ball in from the narrowest angle ..some spoilers claim it was meant to be a cross to me was just a genious at work !

let’s hope to see at least one at this level during this WC

my favourite goal has to be Carlos Alberto’s Im only 16 so didnt have the Honour of seen this Goal live Im also a Brasilian and this goal gives me a gr8 impression on how great the world cup was before i was born

my favourite goal in my lifetime would have to be Ronaldo’s 1st goal in the world cup final as its the goal that stays in my memory the most he was my idol at the time and i was so happy when he scored that most important goal of his career
