News and Notes
Diego has FINALLY made his move to Juventus. This was one of the most drawn out, worst kept secret of a transfer in quite some time. His move to Juve cost the club €24.5 million. When discussing the move, the midfielder stated, “Why did I choose Juventus? Because they’re one of the best teams in the world and the way we have been talking for a long time, for two and a half years.” Ya, that sounds about how long this transfer story dragged on. Is Diego worth €24.5 mil? I would love to hear some other opinions, but I personally do not believe he is worthy of just a large transfer sum. He’s a good player, but that cash is proven, star player money if you ask me, a level that Diego has not quite reached.
Alex, who received a long awaited call up, looks like he is out for the qualifiers and the Confederations Cup. The Chelsea defender is nursing a hernia injury that is looking like it will require surgery. You have to feel for Alex, who has been in sensational form, but neglected by Dunga until now. There are many directions Dunga could go from here in picking a replacement. Miranda would seem like the probable replacement call up. You never know with Dunga, not many of us thought Miranda would have received the call during the last group of qualifiers.
This weekend I will post my preview of the June 6th Uruguay match, until then…

With Ronaldinho playing poorly he should of been called up. Has played the best this season as a Brazilian and has been vital for Bremen this season. Dragged them into the Uefa Cup Final and the DFB Pokal. This move will make him improve and he shall replace Pavel Nedved who has annoucned he will be leaving Juventus after eight season at the club. I feel he chose Juventus as famous playmakers such as, Zinedine Zidane and Michel Plantini wore the Juve shirt and won the BallonD’or. I am not saying he is at the level of winning that award but, with help off Juve he might just be able to win it.
Also, playing with people near or at his level with help him alot. At Bremen their was nobody very good with him except, Pizzar, Naldo and Ozil and maybe the aging Torsten Frings. Now tih Marchisio, Amaari, Del Piero, Iaquanita, Giovinco, Camronesi and co they can really help him. Furthermore, next season Juventus will have a better chance to stop Inter’s reign.
To be honest I think he is worth 24.5 euros. After, Manchester City’s super high bid for Kaka people are rating their players at phenomenal amounts. Bayern rate Ribery at 75 million pounds That’s 100 million euros and Atletico rate Aguero at 50 million pounds. Weder were fair on their price and tried not to scare away Juve with a huge price tag which, alot of clubs are doing to their best players.
