Player Profile: Ronaldo in 1998
The 1998 World Cup final was an accident. Things I’ve read until now show that most people don’t know some facts about that dreadful game. People always say Zidane was the genius behind that conquest, but very few people recognize that Brazil was unable to play that game.
France deserved to win, because the World Cup is like a war, both sides must be strong no matter what, but people should understand what happened that day. I hope these texts are useful to everyone. Zidane wasn’t a genius that day, he was the right man at the right place and time. He deserved the title anyway.
Ronaldo had convulsions on the morning of the game. All Brazilians players were terrified and afraid that Ronaldo could die that day. Imagine playing under that dark shadow…
Read about the 1998 mystery.
Read about the fear.
Read about Ronaldo’s bad decision.
I’ve read some people badmouthing this guy, but his career amazing. He is like a crazy soldier trying to prove himself all the time. He did it in 2002 and I don’t see him softening this year. Club is club, Selection is Selection.

Think what you want but Club PAYS THE BILLS…and many consider that priority…..

Hi Kris! Think about this…
1st: He is rich enough already not to be worried about bills anymore.
2nd: If he is, World Cup is the main selling event for any player. If he does well there, he can get a bigger salary at any other club. PRIORITY!
As I said before: club is good for 3 years and a half (to pay the bills) while World Cup performance will set a player’s salary for the future 3 and 1/2 years.

Im not denying anything you say about how big the world cup is and how it helps a player but dont you think Ronaldo has enough incentive to perform for Real Madrid being the team that made him RICH so he doesnt have to worry about bills anymore

Man, he lost his motivation. Believe it or not, there are other important things besides money. To win a World Cup is pure glory. If you love money so much, think about the profits a player can get if he becomes legendary, think of the eternal status he would get. As I said before, club is club, Selection is Selection.

[...] From what I’ve been reading, most people desire to see their country playing against Brazil at the final game of the World Cup, so I assume nobody would like to be in the 1998 French situation, where Brazil was dead. Even Angola would like to meet a strong Brazilian side! So STOP cursing us! Our players still have plenty of time to get well prepared to this World Cup. [...]

well listen up, in my full life i never considered that thisng which is called ronlado as a real player, he does not deserve any penny, only a media person with big teath and a fat ass, in 2002 they won only by luck and thanks to the good referees that made germany and brazil (the 2 teams that does not deserve to be even in the finals) to play the final, thanks to korea to pay for the referess on brazil behalf, the won that wold cup only by luck and referees and in 1994 its only luck, brazil is the most lucjiest team on earth and no doubt about it, so here we came to 2006 and whats is called brazil and that filthy thing ronaldo faced the real fact, they are nothing when theyt play against big teams, france with all of its old aged players tought brazil of ronaldo a very nice lesson, it made me happy, cuz thet media and the funny fans that do not understand anything in the football world, made a big thing out of brazil and ronaldo !!
