England’s team wasn’t there best. No Johnson, A.Cole, Gerrard, Lampard or Ferdinand. Brazil played a B Team and deservedly won easily. Shame England couldn’t show Brazil what they really had. Would of been a great match.

That “rubbish” player is Brasil’s leading goal scorer, and far and away our most consistent attacking threat. He missed a penalty. Big deal. rather he do it now than in South Africa.

Solid match. I think if England’s “A” side HAD been there, we still would have won, as Brasil would have played that much harder.

that “rubbish” player also has 10 goals in 13 games with sevilla this year not counting his international goals. nothing boring about a player that scores and celebrates goals

Doni shouldn’t be in the selecao in the first place,we have Diego Alves (Almeria,Spain) i don’t watch him play every sunday but when i do he always impress me,Rubinho(ex Genoa now with Palermo) had 2 great seasons with Genoa but he’s been doing thing a la Dida lately but still when he’s on top of his game Doni is no match,Helton is Helton but he’s playing in Portugal(no disrespect to people who enjoy watching the portuguese league) Heurelho Gomes is actually doing OK at T. Hotspurs it’s just that Dunga tend to stick witht the same players,Doni is actually not 100% fit….
what’s going with Kaka lately? i think the situation at Madrid start to affect him even when he plays for the selecao, huh? i hope i’m wrong, would Diego miss out on a second World Cup after Pareira left him out of the squad back in 2006(well at the time he wasn’t enjoying his best season with Porto) now it seems like Dunga is going to do the same to him again, gave the guy another chance to prove himself

the two other goalies have to be marcos (palmeiras) and vitor (gremio). those guys playing in europe are terrible, except for diego alves.

well, that’s just your point of view,Marcos is too old so i don’t think that’s not gonna happen i think you mean Victor the only reason Dunga called him was because Doni wasn’t avalaible and needs more experience i don’t hink he’s going to South Africa neither,i would like to know whatever happen to Diego Cavalleri(Liverpool)and the one who used to play for Valencia he’s on loan at Xeres i think…anyway the word terrible is kinda strong to describe them i mean they are first choice keepers at their respective clubs for a reason plus some of them even won some titles with their clubs so….

I did not bother watching it too. When Brazil plays friendlies against unknown countries is like going to a party and end up dancing with your older aunt.

Duvel!! I think Thiago Silva and Hulk has booked their ticket. I am not sure about Bastos and Carlos Eduardo. I still don’t understand why Dunga still prefer Julio Baptista. He should try out Alex to replace Kaka. But for me Diego is the best candidate for Kaka replacement. But till now i still don’t see any Gilberto Silva replacement.

Doni and Rubinho have been fired from pretty much every club they played in Brazil. When Doni went to Europe, he was playing for Juventude (team now in second division). the reason? no big club wanted him. I never trust players who do not have a career in Brazil – no matter the position they play.

Helton and Gomes belong to the same category: unstable. they play one good game and 3 crappy ones.

Cavalleri is on the bench for Liverpool, and could be a good choice for the future. Renan (the Valencia one) as you noticed, remains and unknown (and to be honest, never seem to be selecao material)

Now, the reason for Marcos and Victor. The two are the best goalies in the Brasileirao (some may include Flamengo’s Bruno, but he’s totally unreliable) and the two have great talent. Besides being a great goalie, a world champion and having tons of experience, Marcos is incredible asset for the group. He is the type of player that aggregates just by being around. Victor is the opposite of Marcos in a way. He is young and should go to the cup as the third goalie to get experience for the next cup (just like Julio Cesar sat on the bench for Dida and Rogerio Ceni in 06).

Since Julio Cesar is the best keeper in the world at the moment, and no other goalie is a real challenge for him, having Marcos and Victor is part of a bigger plan. Not only the 90 minutes of a game.

please Dunga, take a more keen interest for the contribution of Ronaldinho to Brazil, at least even if he is a sub. Someone being out of form for now does not mean they’re totally out. I know what gaucho is going through is a confidence drain. Well with all the public expectations I know he must now be indebted to prove even the critics wrong. Please give him a chance alongside Robinho. They have all the experience that Brazil would need for such a major tournament as the world cup. Otherwise without them, the team lacks one important element, experience and mind strength.

It is beyond me that Diego has been left out of a squad to which he would only add tremendous depth. I’m not insisting that he starts but he should definately be on the squad that travels to the world cup. It only leads me to believe that Carlos dunga has alot of faith in his current squad or his plans are far beyond what any of us fans can fathom.

RONALDINHO IS FAR GREATER THAN DUNGA COULD EVER DREAM OF BEING. AND I BELIEVE THAT RONALDINHO AT THE DAYS END WILL BE ON TH EBRAZIL SQUAD IN SOUTH AFRICA.
I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS BEING LEFT OUT NOW BECAUSE OF THE LOSS OF THE ZEST THAT HE HAD BUT TRUST ME IT IS COMING BACK

Robinho has Nilmar putting pressure on him,Nilmar took his chances i think he’s going to South Africa unless he gets injured but Dunga likes to stick with his players we all know Robinho is going also,we’re usually bring 4 forwards i guess Hulk and Pato gonna have to fight for the last spot i prefer Pato personally,Ronaldinho’s been playing well lately i hope he keep it up so we won’t have Ramires in the selecao no more,we only need someone to convince Dunga to stop calling Lucas,Josue,Julio Baptista i don’t even have to stay anything about him unless you don’t watch AS Roma games Diego Ribas should be there instead of him no matter what…is it only me or the brazilian keeeper who plays for AS Roma is a decent goalie? Julio Sergio,Ranieri even afford to keep Doni on the bench,i’d like to have both Kaka and Ronaldinho in the brazilian squad in South Africa and why not Diego also get rid of Julio Baptista and Ramires

Ronaldonho has been doing well lately, which is good for the seleccao. On the other hand I have a feeling that if ronaldinho is picked by Dunga, Diego is doomed( i wish Dunga can pick both but I know I am dreaming). I will be surprised if Dunga picks both players (diego and Ronaldinho), and from his previous selections, he is infatuated with Julio Baptista who despite not playing consistently , always gets chosen, and in fairness to Julio Baptista, he does well for the selecao when he plays, and he is a dunga kind of player, rugged, can help in defense and attack. Dunga being a defensive player during his playing days tend to favor defensive players which explains why he picks Josue, Mineireo (thank Goodness, Mineiro is gone!!!),and Lucas.
My biggest worry is still the LEFT FULL BACK position, and we haven’t solved that problem yet which puzzles me since I feel we have the best left full backs besides the French team (Evra, Cissokho, Abidal, Gael Clichy). It absolutely bewilders me how we can be in such a dilemma when we have players like Maxwell, Fabio Aurelio, Adriano from Sevilla, and Filipe Luis. The substitue bench for the defensive midfield position is another cause for concern; If Gilberto or Felipe Melo gets hurt; we virtually have no capable replacements!!!!!
