Rogerio Ceni or Marcos?

Dida is safe, even during the strange phase he is (or was) going trough. Parreira trusts him. We all know that Dida and Julio Cesar are really amazing. Most people agree that these two are the best we have. Marcos is a very competent professional and he was chosen by Parreira to go to Germany, but I think he should reconsider that decision. Rogerio Ceni is as good as Marcos defending, but he is a lot better when it comes to the rest of the field.

He can leave the goal area to serve other players, he can pass and even kick to the goal. In his career he has scored 58 times, 39 in free kicks and 19 in penalty kicks. He is probably one of the most versatile goalkeeper in the world. Both have incredible achievements in their career but Marcos could now open the opportunity for Rogerio. Both were with Brazil in the 2002 World Cup, but Dida was the first choice and Marcos was the second. Now that Julio Cesar is in, Rogerio is out.

In my selection Rogerio would be the third choice, Dida would be second and Julio would be first and many people agree with me, but it seems that the bigger the coach, bigger he will be stubborn. Well, Parreira may not be as big as Phil, but he is monstrous too. Only an accident would make him change his chosen goalkeeper.
