Ronaldinho to Ronaldo

Ronaldinho Mister Big, the number one, said yesterday that Ronaldo will be the best player on the 2006 World Cup. Well, I don’t agree but who am I to go against Ronaldinho’s opinion? As I said before, Ronaldinho is our hope for a great show. He is the one that can be the second best after Pele. Or even better! He can become the king of our generation if he shines in this World Cup.

Anyway, this is what he said about Ronaldo: “I’m sure that he will be well prepared and he will play the best World Cup in his life. Not only that but he will be the main player of the competition.”

In an interview for the Croatian newspaper ‘Sportske Novisti’ he also said he is satisfied with Barcelona. “I’m living a phenomenal moment in Spain. The lifestyle remembers Brazil and that helps me to deal with the distance factor.”

By the way, Ronaldinho is going to play today against Getafe. I hope to see another show, of course. If his predictions are as good as his skills, Ronaldo will dazzle the world again.

Second best AFTER Pele. There are the Pele purists out there and I do not want to take anything away from them at all….but to say that ROnaldinho is second best….ooooh. In my humble opinion, Pele would not have the same stature if he was plying today. The pace is much harder and skill is much greater.

I hope Ronaldinho can match Pele’s WC wins so that nobody can say he is second best again.

I see a lot of people saying that the game was easyer in the past. Its not relevant. The game was human vs human as it is today. Of course the game is more muscular today, but it does not necessarily makes competition harder. It’s still men vs men.

I think that Ronaldinho does have a brilliant quality about him; he has football spirit. But to say that he is the next Pele left me in hysterical laughter – Ronaldinho is brilliant, don’t get me wrong. But if anyone is going to be the next Pele – if he gets into shape of course – is Ronaldo. He’s the ultimate world cup goal scorer in the world, and he’s brought the World Cup to Brazil twice.

Maybe I’m wrong, maybe Ronaldinho is the next Pele, but he doesn’t have that THING about him, the THING that Ronaldo and Pele do.

Ronaldinho will be a great ledgend, and will always be remembered, but as time wears on, i think that Ronaldo will be the best – if he loses weight and gets fit.

Neither Ronaldinho nor Ronaldo can compare as of now to Pele’.
Edson Arantes do Nascimiento is many levels above of them for what he did with Santos and Brazil and for long history of success.

I think that for Ronaldo there are not chances anymore due to the fact that he is 30th, maybe Ronaldinho can become closer to Pele but he should be more professional as Pele’ was.

This is the opinion of a person (not brazilian)that had the pleasure to watch Pele’ playing many times.
