Ronaldo to USA too?

April 7th, 2006 | By: Euler Costa | No Comments »

Riiightt Right… and Prince Charming from Shrek will be playing for Barcelona next season too. Donkey will be referee this year at Germany, didn’t you hear about this?

Oh well… is it possible? Super Phenomenon is going to Metropolis? I bet it will not happen. I’m sorry, Michael Lewis, but I think your article has many mistakes to be taken seriously. Apparently you are the only person in the world that has the medical details on Ronaldo’s condition at the 1998 final. You are probably the French doctor that examined him on that morning. Congrats! France won!

After saying that, I would like to know from our Americans readers what do they think about this issue, because we all know that ‘Soccer’ is not considered as a great sport as Basket, Golf (boring), Baseball, American Football and Human Hunting (Dick). Is ‘soccer’ a genuine reason for the US to put some effort into? Does it worth the investments on these great players? Please be honest: is there prejudice against the beautiful sport? I remember one stand-up comedian saying at the Dave Letterman Late Show that ‘soccer’ was not a sport since players could not use their hands. (???)

Let me give a piece of advice to Fox Sports, ESPN, Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated, BBC Sports, CNN and all the rich channels out there. HIRE ME! Keep your people from reporting strange news like that. And, sorry Bob, but money talks (he he he). Every dirty American knows that. The clean ones work for Green Peace or WWF, of course.
