Ronaldo!

This afternoon, in his second appearance for Corinthians, Ronaldo scored his first goal for the club. The goal was a header into the corner of the goal, with only minutes left in Corinthians’ match against Palmeiras. Ronaldo has not started in his two appearances for Corinthians, coming on in both matches as a second half substitute. It was clear to anyone watching the match that Ronaldo is still out of shape, and he just does not have the pace that he once had in his career. However, it was exciting to see him back on the pitch playing in an important match. You can’t help but to feel happy for him as it has been a long road to recovery. At this point in his career I would be stunned to see him get called to play on the national team again. Although coming back to Brazil gives him the opportunity to extend his career and add to his stat line for years to come. I highly recommend my predecessor’s blog for good analysis of Ronaldo and the domestic championships.

Ronaldo R9, the boy wonder & Keepers nightmare. the only one Phenom to have ever worn our number 9. I am so happy he’s returned to football after such a turbulent period in his life. for all he’s accomplished he deserved to raise that finger to the sky once more; celebrating that goal to silence the critics. despite his weight he is always a genuis on the ball..he still has some work to do but he’s 32 and i believe we will see a Quality Ronaldo soon.

Well you might have to wait a bit to see that happen. It will be a difficult challenge for him to get back to his old form. Not many players can do that at that age and after so many injuries.
