UEFA Champions League has Brazil Power
Brazil has 28 players among the 8 quarter finalists in the UEFA Champions League competition. That would be an average of 3.5 player per team! So while some people still insists that Brazil have no chance this year, I say our powerhouse is alive and kicking. Alive and scoring.
We have more players still in the competition than Portugal and England! That’s funny. Benfica and Arsenal are still in the battle for the title, and it is a pleasure for me to say that the Portugal’s team is the one with most Brazilians at this time (8) while the dorks in Arsenal management only got one (Gilberto Silva). Argentina has 15 overall… let’s overcome Europe!!! Please!
This fact leads us to some interesting questions…
Is Brazil teaching Europe the secrets of the game or is it the high level of European football raising our chances against the rest of the world? To be honest with you, I believe it is that kind question that nobody can answer. Who came first the egg or the chicken? The egg came first, since it existed long before the chicken. Same thing about football skills, long before our players were sold to other countries, they were champions for the third time in 1970.
Before I wrap things up here, I want to say this: Thank God Europe recognizes the South American talents…
The finalists list and their present squads:
Lyon (France)
Milan (Italy)
Benfica (Portugal)
Arsenal (England)
Barcelona (Spain)
Villarreal (Spain)
Juventus (Italy)
Internazionale (Italy)

As is known to most, tomorrow Benfica will play Barcelona, here in Lisbon. Following this post, here’s something from the portuguese press (in portuguese) I think you all (Brasileiros) might like:

Hey Pedro, are you going to the game?..I would love to be there, but I will have to settle watching it on TV..
And the article is correct, Perreira should be there since half of his selection will be playing. And what is this about Deco having a spot on the Brazilian selection recently…are they trying to steal him back? Don’t they have enough Brazilians on their own team? Why cant they leave a few for Portugal?..
