Video of the Day: Ronaldinho’s Recent Good Form

November 5th, 2009 | By: Duvel | 6 Comments »

Sorry for the lack of posts the past week, it’s been busy. There has been a Ronaldinho sighting the past few weeks, and with it a resurgent AC Milan. Before we start calling for his return to the national team let’s see this form last awhile longer.

The U-17 team had a terrible performance at the World Cup. They have been complaining about the amount of yellow cards they received as the reason for their group stage exit, which is a sorry excuse. Bruno has an excellent piece on what happened that I highly recommend.

The motivation of going to the WC has made him concentrate on football again. Last few games he has been amazing.

Yes Gaucho is slowly creeping back towards his old form although he has a
lot to make up. His recent form has been good but he is yet to find his
original pace and attacking rhythm but his exquisite trickery is coming back and he is making extremely incisive customary long range defence splitting passes. I am quite certain that if he trains properly and sticks to discip;ine and curbs his nightlife he will be back and strong. This shows how you can have the worlds greatest talent but you are nothing without practize training and discipline.

Pato is also performing very well and his guile, pace and positioning has been superb recently. He is turning out to be an exceptionla striker and in
a 4-3-3 formation I would have Fabiano and Pato as the two top strikers
Gaucho will be back as Dunga has said that its just a matter of time. I would rather prefer a 4-4-2 formation with Gaucho and Kaka with Elano and
1 more defensive screen. Defence is Lucio/Juan/Luisao/Alex
Full backs Maicon/Alves

Kaka was also class in the ACM-MAD match although tightly marked by Ambrosini.

Taking a penalty is a sign of good form!! Are you sure this is the right video? You cannot make a case for his return to form based on this video.

Does anyone have a link to Dunga saying that it’s just a matter of time? Also, have there been any rumblings about Ronaldo? Seems like he is healty again…

The video i think is just there. Anyone who has seen the overall match
will know that Gaucho was far better than he was even a few weeks earlier
but he is still far from his best. But there is a sign of positive progress.
All he needs to do is to stop partying and train and i think he is training
extra hard.

Ronaldo WAS a great player but he is firmly past it. We should look to the young strikers who are in great form Fabiano and Pato also Nilmar and Adriano are doing well.

Fabio Simplicio is possibly a chance to the youngster in friendlies.

I agree Diego looks good and should find consideration. But we also need to find replacements for Ze Roberto’s position and Gilberto Silva should
move on for younger talent.
