Who is the Worlds best player? KaKá!
Kaká has already won the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup (in which he was chosen as the best of the competition) and the Ballon d’Or before he was awarded yesterday by the great majority of national team coaches and captains as #1 for Fifa. As a Brazilian I am really glad to see this kid shining like this.
Now there are some funny people here are saying that for a Brazilian to get that honor his name must start with the letter R. Here is the list: Romário (1994), Ronaldo (1996, 1997 and 2002), Rivaldo (1999), Ronaldinho (2004 e 2005) and now Kaká (his real name is Ricardo), making a total of 8 Brazilian titles in 14 editions of the contest.
At the same event, Brazilians Marta (Woman’s again) and Buru (Beach Soccer) were also awarded, keeping Brazil as a solid talent factory as usual. I just hope we translate that fact into another World Cup title soon.

[...] Here’s another interesting post I read today by Brazil World Cup Team Blog [...]

Don’t forget that we already saw Kaká playing in our own stadiums. He played in São Paulo for five years (1999 to 2003). But big European money can’t be matched here in Brazil. Anyway, Europe is the center stage for the sport, no doubt. The protagonists, in the other hand…
Thanks for the comment, Brasil.

kaka is indeed a great player yet understated. the opposite of most great brazilians this guy is a brazilian platini but perhaps his greatness shows up in his character who stays true to his principles. what a shame that others like ronaldo and ronaldinho don’t take example.

I am really excited at the possibility that Kaka and Ronaldinho may play together at AC Milan! They will now get to learn to play together on the same field at the same time - and add to that explosive mix Pato! This is good news for Brazil. Hope the Ronaldinho to AC deal goes thru’.
I am also hoping Anderson takes Gilberto’s slot soon. Gilberto is spending too much time on the bench and when he plays he looks jaded this year. Anderson is coming on well for ManU but still needs a lot of work. I like Lucas as well and he is learning to be a Gerrard type of player.
I also hope Dani Alves moves to Italy or England (but it looks like he will go to Barca) and gets a bit better in defense. He is my first choice, but some how not Dunga’s.
