Congrats Brazil for the win!

I have a question, is it not just a formality that Ronaldo is done for the NT? He is almost 31 years old, will there be a Copa before 2010? If not I would think its time for Ronaldo to hang up his boots, if not they will be hung for him.

Why replace Wagner Love with Ronaldinho? What has Ronaldinho done to deserve being called to the NT? I am so disappointed with Ronaldinho.....Yes, he is a great player -with Barcelona- but for Brazil he lacks the heart that people like Wagner Love has shown so why put him back in? I'd rather lose with players who put their heart into it than with prima donnas like the way Ronaldinho acted in the last WC.

Julio Baptista can play defensive midfield. He
could also play strong safety in the NFL.
Ronaldinho could easily replace Wagner Love
in any case - easy to shuffle roles to
accomodate the switch. Ze Roberto appears
gone for good - although he is great with the barber's shears and Anderson and Vagner Love could certainly use a lot of trimming.

The brazilian tale: What do all of these countries have in common? Azerbaijan,Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina,Bulgaria,Chile, Cost Rica,Croatia,Germany,Honduras,Hong Kong,Hungary,Italy,Japan,Macedonia, Mexico,Portugal,Singapore,Spain,Trinidad and Tobago,Tunisia,Turkey,USA.....They all have used naturalized brazilians in their NT during the past decade!!
Last time I checked the list was a total of 800+ professional brazilian players around the world.

hot, I guess that for whatever the reason this blog is not popular with brazilians but if you go to other blogs such as
http://forums.soccerfansnetwork.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=125
you will find plenty of activity.

I guess the difference with brazilians is that they complain or celebrate for a couple oh hours because they see it as natural to win and if they lose then they brush it off and say NEXT!!
No pun intended and I do enjoy the other teams but they fall in a different mentality altogether. Had Argentina, Uruguay won you can bet that they would relish on that win for months because they succeed at a less rate than Brazil and if Mexico had won then the ripple effect would have gone on for years.

I have to be frank here, I don't like Ronaldinho when he plays in the NT, he is mediocre there and I like Dunga's attitude of not caring about name recognition or fame I mean, if a player wants to play for the NT then said player ought to give his best period. If they will be there just to fulfill their marketing commitments with sponsors then screw them.

I expect Dunga will build upon this team. The defense played solidly and it will only improve with the return of Lucio. It'll be interesting if Pato and Nilmar will have room in the team as they are developing.

Hi everyone,
Thank you Euler for your Welcome message, it was really nice of you.. you know i wanted to contact you so we get to know each other and help drive this post, but i am busy myself, just to give you a peice of info about me, I'm 23 and i am a medical student at the university of jordan for science and technology- Jordan..
i try to use my free time and dedicate it to follow brazilian soccer since i am a diehard fan.

Mane, i like what you said about Dunga style.. to be honest with you, i'd rather a Pragmatic coach who can win trophies than having to play the most beautiful soccer and loose.. look what happened to argentina for instance, they played pretty soccer and they fell to tears in the end.. This is life, and this is football, 50 years from now they will say brazil outclassed argentina in the copa final.. and believe me that we still play beautiful soccer. As you said, there's still room for KAKA, -the God-sent Gift from heaven, best player in the world and our new history.. I just can't wait to watch him fit in this team..
imagine the team that played the final
Maicon-Alex-juan-Gilberto
     Josue--Miniero
and KAKA
it will be magnificent, KAKA drving to the opponents goal is special when he's got those holding his back.. i think there's Room for Ronaldinho to excel on the left wing as he used in Barca, i just wish he elevates his game a bit for the NT...
and most importantly, i want to see RONALDO back, i said it and i will keep saying it forever.. He is my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE and he will be back in shape, for dunga's call...
