Brazil 3 x 1 Mexico Videos

Here are some videos about the Brazil – Mexico friendly I found in YouTube. Note that in the second video the American broadcasting was still showing Kaka’s goal replay. The narrator gets confused. He than asks if it is worth to shout “GOAL” and he does that but with much less enthusiasm. All videos are in Portuguese.

This video shows not only the goals, but some other nice moments too

Take note of the narrator’s silence!

Hi Euler – this is Dan – remember me? I was so down after last summer I have not posted to you or sent you an e-mail. I apologize for that…I was able to watch every Brazil match here in the US since the end of the world cup – all the friendlies and even all of Copa America.
I am very encouraged by the outcome of Copa – and of these 2 recent matches vs. Mexico and the US. I think the line up that player vs. US or Mexico would have beaten France last year.
My question has to do with how can I watch the next set of matches – the qualifying rounds for WC 2010? Up until March of 2007, (the friendly against Chile) I was able to watch Globo TV international on Dish satellite network – then Fox soccer channel signed a contract to broadcast the brazil friendlies and Globo stopped showing any games of the national team. I signed up for the all Brazil soccer channel that Globo runs but there were no national team games on it. Even Copa america was not on my Globo channel – I saw the tournament on Gol Tv. Very good coverage by the way. The main guy on Gol tv is british and he likes Argentina – he did not speak well of Brazils victory. He thought it was a loss for the jogo bonito or beautiful game. I think he was crazy – I have not seen a more powerful first goal than Elano’s one touch 60 plus yard pass to Baptista – who made a fantastic stop and then blasted it in the upper corner – I lost my voice yelling i was so surprised – it was pure magic!
But back to the TV coverage – how can I find out who shows the games? Is Globo the only network that shows the national team in Brazil? How can I see Brazil in the US? It is very frustrating. I can get no answers from Globo via e-mail – it seems they do not understand my question.
By the way, I find it odd that the brazil national team never plays in Brazil – do you guys ever get to see them play live anymore? It must be hard to love your team and never see them play. And how can one be a Barcelona fan w/Messis and the ex france nationals on it esp. Henry? Barcelona has players for 6 or more national teams on it – they all play against each other for WC cup but then have to be on the same team for a year at a time – very strange. In fact the national team concept is more like an all-star tournament rather than a style tournament – although Brazil seems to maintain a unique, national character to its national team more than other nations, very much set apart form the rest of the world. European national teams seem to be pretty indiscernible. German bundesliga seems very slow, low scoring, physical. Same with Italy. La Liga to me is the most open and lively, but La LIga is loaded with Brazilians and other south american & and african players.
Enough all ready – I really would like some clarification on the TV broadcasts of the national team – wasn’t the Youtube you linked to from Globo?

Hi Dan! I’m glad you’re back!

About watching the Brazilian matches in the US, I really don’t know. Here in Brazil the Globo network usually display them, not only at the main channel but also in their “Globosat” cable channels, like Sportv.

Sometimes the other open channels can display them too, but not that much.

About watching our national team playing here, it really is very rare. Now with the World Cup classifying coming up, I’m sure we will have them playing here. But then again, Brazil is so big that they have to rotate the cities they will play, so I’ll have to wait they schedule a match in Rio.

It is fun to see people charging tickets to see the team training, tho.

I’m not writing that much, but if we play, I’ll be back!

Regards!
