Brazil-Colombia U-17

April 24th, 2009 | By: Duvel | 5 Comments »

The under 17 squad suffered their first defeat of the tournament last night, losing 2-0. It was one of those nights where a team could just not find the back of the net. The team had several near misses on goal, and was inches from pulling two goals back late in the second half. Star midfielder Wellington went out early in the first half with an injury which surely hurt this team last night.

With another game came new news of a big club showing interest in a player. The Daily Mirror is reporting that Manchester United have an agreement in place with Corinthians for the defender Dodo, who can play left back and center half. He is a tall player with good touch, pace, and great potential. He would join Fabio and Rafael as the future defense for the Red Devils. The squad’s next match is Wednesday against Bolivia at 7:00 P.M. eastern.

Hope all these Brazilian youngsters learn their lesson. Learn from the defeat, they should stand firmly on the ground before learn how to fly.

Bruno, because he is RONALDO. There are so many Brazilian players out there who play so so well but still can’t get the notice of media and even call up to national team.

Yeah Ronaldo is a king, no one is as lethal as il phenomeno in front of goal. i wouldnt mind seeing him & Pato get a run out up front for the Selecao in the Confederations Cup come June.

I’m thrilled that Ronaldo is doing well. I respectfully disagree that he should get the call for the Confederations Cup. I think Brazil should be building towards 2010. I cannot see someone who will be almost 34 once the World Cup rolls around being more effective than some of Brazil’s other options at forward.
